"life made meaningful by new toys"

that's a dark 3x3ft. prison with 2ft ceilings. worthlessness is more meaningful than toys...and more profitable. keep it up fellahs

Anyone have the slightest clue what this guy's talking about? Being cryptic and mysterious isn't the same as being interesting or deep. -SF

I've generally had a watch around somewhere since I was about 9 (an LED watch, push the button and red numbers appeared! It was sooo cool). Current watches are a black Wal-Mart special (6 bucks, works great) and an estate sale Timex Indiglo (2.50, a bit corroded, light is dead, keeps perfect time). Somewhere I've got a very expensive pocketwatch my now-wife gave me, but it's battery is probably dead.
Do I wear them? No.
When I worry about time (and as a parent, sadly, I must) I use my cell phone.
I love watches (I've considered going to watch repair school), but just cant seem to make myself wear them much. They always feel like a great big third ear on my wrist.

Yeah, there's something about watches. I was recently handed six old pocket-watches, none of them working, that were worn by various men of my family, none of them living. Need to see if they can be repaired. -SF

You too? I don't want to know if anyone thinks my gadget sucks either. They need to just keep that crap to themselves.
